1. What is Symmetrix drilling?
Previously known in our industry as Concentrix, the updated Symmetrix system allows for the simultaneous casing and drilling of a hole. The system consists of three main components: pilot bit, ring bit (reamer) and casing shoe.
2. Why is overburden important?
In a petroleum system, the overburden rock overlies the source rock and contributes to its thermal maturation because of higher temperatures at greater depths. The age and thickness of the overburden rock determines the burial rate and thereby influences the heating rat.

4. How does a casing advancer Work?
The Casing Advancer has been designed to allow drilling and casing to be carried out at the same time as one integral operation. This feature eliminates the need to drill the large diameter hole with a Rock Bit, pull the drill rod string and Rock Bit from the hole and then ream the casing back into the hole.
