1. What is DTH hammer?
Down-the-hole drilling (DTH) essentially involves a drilling hammer at the bottom of a drill string. It relies on three elements for drilling holes: bit loading (weight), rotation and air. These active elements combine to be efficient at crushing rock.
2. What type of drill is best for stone?
Drilling through stone, brick, granite, and even marble is possible, but it takes a tough drill bit made of hard metal to do it. Kingdrilling drill bits are specifically designed to tackle stone and can bore through these hard surfaces with ease.
3. Can you drill through cobblestone?
Cobble is extremely hard and very difficult to cut, making directional drilling difficult. During drilling, cobble pieces move and therefore rock bits cannot penetrate them because of the constant movement; instead of being cut, pieces of cobble roll away and do not stay in place.
