FAQ:
1. What is casing drilling?
Casing is a large diameter pipe that is assembled and inserted into a recently drilled section of a borehole. Similar to the bones of a spine protecting the spinal cord, casing is set inside the drilled borehole to protect and support the wellstream.
2. Why is percussion drilling used?
Site examination using cable percussion drilling is a tried and true technique. The method of drilling makes it possible to insert casing inside the borehole to keep loose dirt from collapsing into it, enabling the borehole to be advanced to significant depths while still making good progress.
3. How much PSI do I need for air tools?
Between 70 and 90 PSI
The majority of air tools require 70–90 PSI. Ninety PSI can be easily reached by any light-to-medium duty air compressor, but you should always have the compressor producing more flow than is required. Expert Advice: Never disregard a PSI rating. Insufficient air volume will cause the tool to function improperly.
